On May 20, 2013, CCPIT Mediation Center and the Italian Chinese Chamber of Commerce held a renewal ceremony of the cooperation agreement between the China-Italy Commercial Mediation Center at the Cultural Center of the Italian Embassy in China。Mr. Xu Wei, Director of the Legal Department of CCPIT and Vice President of CCPIT Mediation Center, and Mr. Mario Zanone Poma, President of Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, signed the new cooperation agreement as representatives of both sides。Mr. Alberto Bradanini, Ambassador of Italy to China, witnessed the renewal ceremony。

Ambassador Alberto Bradanini thanked the China-Italy Commercial Mediation Center for its efforts in promoting Sino-Italian economic and trade exchanges since its establishment in 2004。He pointed out that mediation, as a friendly dispute resolution method, can maintain the cooperative relations between the two trading parties and promote bilateral economic and trade exchanges。He hoped that the China-Italy Commercial Mediation Center could play a better role in resolving bilateral economic and trade disputes in the future and promote the further development of bilateral economic and trade relations。
After the signing ceremony, a seminar on "Sino-Italian Commercial Dispute Settlement" was held。At the seminar，Wang Chengjie, Secretary-General of CCPIAC Mediation Center, delivered a speech entitled "The Impact of Cultural Differences on International Commercial Mediation and the development of Mediation in China", and Renzo Cavalieri, senior mediator of CCPIAC and Professor of Law at the University of Venice, introduced Sino-Italian commercial relations and dispute resolution mechanism，Sara Marchetta, vice president of Italian-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, introduced the practice of Sino-Italian commercial dispute settlement in the form of case studies，Cheng Hui, Deputy Secretary-General of CCPIT Mediation Center, introduced the China-Italy joint commercial mediation mechanism to the participants，Mediation rules and process。
Italy-China Business Mediation Center,ICBMC for short)，It is a joint mediation institution for resolving commercial disputes between Chinese and Italian companies，It was established based on the cooperation agreement signed in December 2004 between the CCPIT Mediation Center, the Italy-China Chamber of Commerce and the Arbitration Court of the Milan Chamber of Commerce。The Center aims to promote and develop trade, investment and other forms of economic exchanges between the business communities of China and Italy, and jointly provide mediation services for trade disputes arising from economic and trade exchanges between China and Italy。The Center has two secretariats in Beijing and Milan to accept mediation applications from parties and jointly manage mediation procedures according to the rules of the Sino-Italian Commercial Mediation Center。
